Meeting of 25 August (time is flying this year!)

A few faces missing this week (holidays). We managed to polish off the breakfasts still however – one new visitor made a particular point of complimenting Toni on the food (it was him that ate the missing peoples share I think).
Five minutes of humour to start: a list of medical secretary typo’s and general errors – such as ‘a rectal examination revealed a normal sized thyroid’ – and so forth. Raised a smile.
Andy our PC support guy showed his true colours – in his absence he’d arranged a back up, with the new face Bob Dicks standing in. In true PC support style however he’d also asked David Price to stand in – nothing like covering yourself. He’d also delegated the delivery and handing out of cards to Julie and Marc. Hope your having a good holiday Andy – what’s the saying: ‘Absence makes yer friends work harder’…..
Really enjoyed the 10 minutes from John Horton. Not just a normal ‘lawn’ man it seems, a true agronomist with a good CV. He clearly does a good job and he gained a couple of referrals straightaway.
Most notable was some precision time-keeping by the stand-in chairman. Didn’t have the sartorial elegance of Steve Baker but got us away nicely on time!
