New Year, New Chair…

The LBBC met for our AGM at this year’s first meeting. As a group we’re upbeat and considerate, so there weren’t any contentious matters for discussion – rather how we can make the best of our finances & ensure that we minimise food waste through keeping Barringtons informed about attendance.

One major matter was the voting in of a new Chairman/person (whatever the correct terminology is…!). After over 10 years in the role, Steve Baker (who started the group, as an alternative to the expensive & high-pressured networking groups that proliferate in the area) is stepping aside. We all want to thank Steve for his commitment & enthusiasm over this time.

The new Chair of the group is Mark Tomkins, the owner of Aubergine Creative, a graphic design agency based in Church Square. We’ll make sure we keep on eye on him and appraise him of his performance on a regular basis, as is the way of the group!
